Please call or text me at 845-641-8378 if you do not see a time within your schedule needs on our bookings calendar when you click on the booking widgets below.  I will do my best to accommodate urgent appointment requests and appointments outside of routine scheduled hours.

**Home Visit Travel Fees**

 Of note, I do charge a $75 travel fee for all in-home visits. This fee is built into the cost of the home visit self pay consult, for all other in home visits, it is invoiced separately.  There is one standard set of 12 stairs to our home office.  I can also bring you in from a back entrance to limit step ups to about 3 total.  If you have a medical limitation and can not climb any stairs, please contact me directly at lauren@strongasamother.net to schedule.  We also require that all dogs be secured in a separate room for our home consults. 

Aetna, and United Healthcare/UMR Plans:

Book an appointment using the dark blue "Book Now" button below. You are responsible for verifying that your insurance coverage is active, that I am in network with your plan, and that you have active lactation coverage. For Aetna customers, please read through our Aetna Financial Policies with the light blue button.  Cost sharing after 3-6 visits may apply depending on your plan coverage. 

Cigna 

We are now a subcontractor with LCA, (Lactation Consultants of America), allowing us to take many Anthem and Cigna plans for lactation visits

.  Their patient relations team is there to help you every step of the way. Contact their team at (323) 870-1150 M-F 7:30am-4pm PST or at patient.relations@lcsofamerica.com to verify your plan's participation with LCA BEFORE booking your first appointment with us to ensure coverage. 

Self Pay, Medicaid/Husky, and Tricare

Book an appointment using the dark blue "Book Now" button below. Of note, Strong as a Mother offers 50% off our self pay rates for Tricare/Medicaid for in office and virtual postpartum lactation appointments only.  No discounts are available for in home visits. Select Medicaid option when booking. Please see our self pay rates posted in following section of this web page.

Self Pay Rates:

Please find our self-pay rates below. Please also contact me if you are financially unable to pay the posted fees (with a superbill for possible plan reimbursement).  I aim to provide exemplary care to my clients and will do everything I can to meet your financial needs.

Free Breastfeeding Support Group

with Lauren Cascone, MSN, RNC-OB, IBCLC

We host a free breastfeeding support group at our office in Newtown, CT every other Tuesday.  There is no pre-registration required.  Please see dates the group will be held on the picture on the right.  In the event of inclement weather or a schedule conflict, I will always post cancellation of the group on both facebook and instagram. This group is open to all breastfeeding/pumping mothers, regardless as to where they receive lactation care.

Our Newtown Office

4 Hitfield Rd. in Newtown, CT

Our home based office is located through the side entrance (black/white sign outside the office).  There is one standard set of 12 stairs.  I can meet you in the driveway to assist you inside with any belongings and if you are unable to climb stairs for a medical reason, I am always happy to waive the travel fee for a home visit.    We have a changing table, breastfeeding pillow, and separate restroom available for our customers.
